To perform the necessary upgrades to the central plant at DFW International Airport, the major chilled water system, hot water system, and cooling tower equipment went through phased removals and replacements during non-peak seasons. This phasing allowed the system to accommodate the needed capacity for the entire airport during peak seasonal demands.
Austin Commercial implemented inventive methods to complete the upgrades by strategically phasing demolitions, installations, start-ups, and testing without interruption to operational service, successfully meeting the airport’s requirements.
