Encore Wire Research and Development TechLab

System Electric Co. was a proud to be a trade partner in the construction of this 13,000 sq. ft. laboratory complex is located on the Encore Wire Campus at 1324 Millwood Road in McKinney, Texas. Extensive planning and time went into the design of this facility to be in compliance with LEED Platinum construction guidelines, perhaps the only building of its kind in North Texas.

The Encore TechLab houses state-of-the-art testing and analytical equipment, allowing such testing capabilities as FTIR, DSC, TGA, GC-MS, XRF and SEM, to name a few.

The laboratory is capable of conducting a wide range of UL test procedures for wire and cable products, including a modern flame-testing lab. This equipment, combined with the vast knowledge of the staff, provides Encore with the tools necessary to further their in-depth studies to keep Encore at the cutting edge of wire and cable process technology and to enable the development of new materials and products. The Encore TechLab is where brilliant thinking and incomparable equipment combine to turn Science Fiction into Science Fact.
